A group of young girls dive into the complex hidden world of tax evasion by big foreign companies in the Netherlands. What happens behind the closed doors of these big anonymous office buildings in the suburbs of Amsterdam?

RESEARCH

During my artist residency at Broedplaats WOW, I found myself drawn to the large office buildings around Sloterdijk. During the COVID lockdown, I began exploring the neighborhood differently. Were these buildings empty due to the lockdown, or was there something else happening?

By conducting extensive research and interviewing lawyers, journalists, and bankers, I got a glimpse into the secretive and intricate world of tax evasion in the Netherlands. Alongside a group of local young people, we delved into these complex tax evasion paths and produced a short film on the subject.
